The R.O.C. (Revitalization of Communities) initiative is offering free seminars to individuals and families interested in becoming a homeowner, through the Rockdale County Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). 
 
March 8 - 11, 2010
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 P.M.

Monday, March 8:                  Educators (All School System Employees)
Tuesday, March 9:                  Public Safety Employees
Wednesday, March 10:          All Government Employees
Thursday, March 11:              Real Estate Professionals (10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
                                                 Local Business Employees (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.)

*If you cannot attend the specialized session that fits your situation the best, organizers encourage you to attend one of the other sessions. All are free and open to the public .
 
Interested homebuyers with a total household income under $113,550 and willing to attend an eight hour H.U.D. certified education course may be eligible for NSP.  The NSP is open to all families whether residing in Rockdale, wishing to relocate or just seeking homeownership.
 
Eligible applicants purchasing an NSP property may receive up to $14,500 in down payment assistance.
 
Potential Homebuyers Will Have a One-Stop-Shop to Determine Program Eligibility:
- Complete NSP Eligibility Application
- Meet with lenders
- Review closing process with closing attorneys
- Receive information from home counselors
- Receive information on available and soon-to-be available properties from asset management firms, and
- Receive down payment assistance information.
