Name: Ceremony Honoring Vietnam Vets
Date: March 25, 2018
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
I DID IT FOR YOU!
Over the past two months, our students have been engaged in a humanities intensive study on the Vietnam War entitled “I Did It For You.” In addition to studying a variety of aspects of the conflict within their science, English, history, visual arts and music classes, they have also been expressing appreciation to Vietnam Veterans for their service and sacrifice. Dozens of veterans have visited campus to share their stories, the students have taken field trips to memorials and museums, and a team of veterans even landed a Huey helicopter on campus!

From March 18-25, student artwork and writings will be on display at the Walton County Government Building and the study concludes on March 25 with a special reception where Vietnam veterans will be honored and commemorative books of student creations will be presented.
