CASA is dedicated to improving the lives of children in foster care through volunteer-based
advocacy with a primary focus on permanency in a safe, permanent home. CASA is committed
to effective leadership and high-quality advocacy for children who have experienced abuse or
neglect so that each child’s best interests are presented and available to the court when making
life-altering decisions.
CASA volunteers are the heartbeat of the network and play a critical role in the life of each
child that they advocate for and in ensuring a safe, permanent home. Every volunteer
offers individualized attention; objective, first-hand information; and consistent presence in
their lives.
Serving as a CASA volunteer is one of the most important and impactful volunteer
opportunities available today. Studies show that resiliency in children is directly linked to the
presence of a consistent and positive relationship with a trusted adult.
